Pregame hanging out with Jerry Sloan

I know what your thinking, man John must have grown about 7 inches or so but to tell the truth, yes I have. Kidding. He is 1 step down from me. We were lucky to get to talk with Jerry before the game. I told him you probably don't remember me but I'm from Belle Rive ( which is where I grew up for those of you who don't know and where Jerry has always lived nearby). He said where did I meet you and I told him where and that it was a couple of times about 6 or 8 years ago. He said what are you doing out here and I pointed to Shana and introduced them and said I married a girl from Blackfoot. He told us he went home briefly during the all-star break and said maybe he will see us again sometime. We told him good luck in the game and he told us good luck and best wishes for both of us. It was nice of him to take the time out before the game to take a few minutes with us.

We got these tickets for free from the secretary at works husband. It actually worked out because as Shana reminded me it was the 2 year anniversary of the day I asked her to marry me which was 2/22/08. I was suppose to go with the guy but then a few days ago he asked if my wife would want to go. She had a good time and we got to see a very good game with alot of dunks and exciting things. We did have our Jazz shirts on underneath.

This is Dominique Wilkins who is a hall of famer that use to play for the Hawks against Jordan and those guys. As you can see I was how do you say this heckling him and as you can see especially if you click on the picture he was not too happy with me. I thought that heckling was just part of the game but I don't think he likes me.

Just kidding!

The cheerleaders

One of the many interesting characters

This is Mike Bibby for the hawks and Sundiata Gaines for the Jazz. We actually got Sundiatas autograph before the game on a bag that they gave us when we first walked in. He hit probably one of the biggest shots for the Jazz earlier this year against Lebron James and the Cavs. He hit a game winning 3 point shot at the end of the game. If you havent seen it look it up on youtube or something. That was his first game for the Jazz. He got picked up from the Idaho Stampede league. He was playing because Deron Williams the main point guard got hurt in a game the night before.

This is Carlos Boozer who had a decent game but not one of his best but he did hustle quite a bit.
