Some Christmas pics

Here are the hosts of Christmas this year. They made wonderful breakfast. We visited, then we played a game called Quirkle. We also watched 2 movies 1 earlier in the day and the other was around 9 that night which we all fell asleep during that movie.

Aren't you glad you're not a deer.

She makes it look so easy. Look at the baby he is so happy to get away from me and have Shana hold him that he threw his arms up in the air. We were having supper the other night at the table and we both looked at each other and said, man its quiet in here. I told her to enjoy it because when we have kids it probably won't be like that for another 18 years or more.

Corene finally got me to hold the new baby. He was wrapped up so much, which made it easier. It makes me nervous holding new babies.

I'm not really that tall but it seems that all the kids on both sides of the family like climbing up on me. I start out holding their hands and they start climbing up my legs and chest until they get to my shoulders. If anybody wants a good workout there you go.

On Christmas Eve we always exchange a new pair of pajamas every year. I always like getting the camo and Shana always likes snowflakes and girlie stuff like that.

Ain't nothin like sittin by the fire on a cold windy day.

Some Christmas cards we got from family.

Motley Crue

We had a great time at the Christmas party. It was good to catch up with Jake, Jared, Lisa, Ben, Mike, Cylee, Paul, Claudia, Blane, Randy, Chris, Ford, Carol, Kathleen, and Bob. Of course we had to play mafia. Some of the best liars were Paul, Lisa, and Jake. The food was great too.

Ford and Carol, don't we all wish we are going to be in their shape if we hit 90. It is unbelievable that Ford still farms.

Ben and Lisa are always lookin for a good time. They introduced us to the funnest game ever last year, mafia. It was good to catch up with them and talk scary movies.

We woke up one Saturday to look out the window and at the end of the driveway was a cattle drive. There was this guy on a horse and another guy on a four wheeler. Its kinda nice to watch this it almost takes you back to a much simpler time.

Happy Thanksgiving

Shana and I went to Bob and Kathleens for thanksgiving dinner. Shana and Kathleen did all the work while me and Bob caught up on some football. The dinner was great we had all the staples of a thanksgiving dinner like the turkey, stuffing, mashed taters, pumpkin pie, pumpkin cake pie, apple pie and yes we had our veggies also. I am use to eating around noon but we ate around 2:30 so when they were still preparing the food I kept hovering around the kitchen until it was ready. Kathleen fixed enough food for 3 familys so we all were sore afterwards. Then Bob and I crashed out on the couch (seperate couches) for a little nap. All in all it was a good day, wish we could have spent the day with all of our families. Hope everyone had a good thanksgiving.

My second nap of the day

Shana doing a little modeling. She has put in some hard work and I have to say she looks great. Very cosmopolitan.

We got to visit with Paul and Corene for a little while. They had got there around a few hours after we ate because they were with Corines family in Rigby.

Shana had a great time playing hide and go seek with the kids. They tell us to go hide and like trying to find us in the dark. They go screaming down the hall when we scare them which they love because they want to do it all night.

Halloween 09

We went over to Carol and Fords for Halloween. Kathleen and Carol made some good hamburger soup and some bacon and corn soup. We didn't go all out we just threw some stuff together that we had at the house. It literally took us about 10 or 15 minutes. Next we hope to have a party and have everyone dress up and bob for apples or something cheesy like that.

Fishin trip

Bonfire on the river with Brandon & Dani

Last Sunday night we decided to have a little bonfire with Brandon and Dani Falter. It was a good time. We sat out there shot the bull for about 3 hours and had some ballpark franks. They brought some really nice chairs that recline back. I didn't want to get up.

We went for a walk in Wolverine a couple of Saturdays ago. It was a nice day so we thought it would be great to get out and get some exercise.

Family Reunion 2009

First of all Shana is making me put this picture first because we didnt get a picture of us together with our camera. This is where we had the family reunion this year. It is just about 1/4 mi down the road from our house. Most people brought a camper but we roughed it in our tent Friday night. I got to fish with Cylees husband Mike Friday evening before dark which was nice and relaxing. Friday night aroound midnight we were sitting around the fire with Ben and Lisa and decided to take the boat out on the pond and tell true scary stories. Then after a late night I woke up at 6:30 and nobody else was up and moving around, I was shocked but eventually people started creeping out in the crisp morning air. Thanks to everyone for all the preperations, food, and fun. See ya next year.

Cylee and Shana playing some ladderball. We played alot of different games over the weekend and it was all a good time.

Some of the people chowin down on hot dogs and burgers Saturday evening.

Paul, Corene, Ben, and Lisa doing a little fishin on Saturday afternoon. We had a nice fish fry Sunday for lunch with all the fish that was caught.

Happy 28th Birthday

Actually Shanas birthday was on the 17th but everyone came over tonight for pizza and cake. Thanks to Bob and Kathleen for that. On her birthday we went to eat at Frontier Pie and it was great as always but we both left really stuffed. We also went to a concert with Brandon and Dani Falter on last Thursday. We went to Sandy Downs to see Julianne Hough and Blake Shelton. It was a great show and we had a good spot up close and had alot of good pics but the cameras memory card messed up at the end. We are still working on getting them back somehow. We even got to meet and talk to Julianne and luckily our friends took some pictures of us talking with her so that is our plan b. She also wrote happy birthday to Shana on her cd. Shana was so excited she couldn't sleep that night. Also just found out that mom and dad are coming out the first week of September so we are looking forward to showing them around on their first trip out here.

Campin Trip

We finally got to take our camping trip that we wanted almost a month ago for our anniversary. The rain has stopped us every weekend . We went out about an hour west of Challis. Shana found this nice spot next to the Salmon river away from anybody else. We only seen a couple of cars the whole time. We took a walk back behind our tent after we got it set up and jumped up 2 badgers about 30 feet away. We were glad to see them go the other way, even though I had a gun and some bear spray. It was a great time.

Hiking after camping

It was hard to get pictures of Shana up there because of the wind blowing her hair everywhere. Luckily I dont have that problem.

This was as high and as far as we could get. We didn't have the energy to go any further.
